RULES CONCERNING THE SUBLIMATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL NARRATIVE ART, FOR SPIRITUAL AND BODILY OBEDIENCE
Masterclass based on Michael Madsen dubious ability to follow his own universal creative rules:
§1: Start a project only if you do not know its results under any circumstances.
§2: Allow yourself to be hysterical cynical in recognition that the only audience you need to satisfy is yourself: what would really interest you to see?
§3: In case of doubt regarding the above, always choose the steps that make you most nervous as these steps will contain the most for yourself – but therefore also in relation to any audience beyond yourself.
§4: Understand, that to narrate equals to assume responsibility as it is ultimately a way of folding into and out of the world – why all phases and aspects of this existential endeavour always also has value in themselves.
§5: Protect the incomprehensible in your project, i.e. the mysterious in your project by understanding your work with these forces as an act of discovery.
§6: Bother, of course, only the world with something the world never before has come to know – and thus gain freedom from all kinds of evaluation that do not originate from yourself.
§7: Always make the last project of your life first.
§8: Because any work of art stems from your sensibility in the broadest possible understanding, you must protect your work by always letting curiosity and boldness drive the work.
§9: Take time off not much more often, but significantly more often.
§10: Formulate a paragraph for your work that you never for any person will ever reveal:
